My Hobbies Take Over the House!

As we prepare for moving at the end of the month, I realize just how much space my hobbies take up! There's my piano, my workout gear and bike, my massage table (okay, that one's work), my potter's wheel, LDS food storage (okay, that one's food...I don't know if that should be considered a hobby...if you don't know what long-term storage is all about - check out this webpage. The video is really good), my guitar, my scrapbooks/photo books, my fabric and sewing machine, my art easel, my art/crafting supplies (paper, glue, collage supplies, magazines, paints, pencils, etc. etc.), my books, and ON and ON....
I definitely have a lot of hobbies. I think because I do so many different things, I do not really excel in one area...more like a Jack of All Trades, Master of None. Oh well. Variety is the spice of life. I am so grateful for the wonderful things around me that bring me joy. I am truly blessed with time in my day to CREATE.

Here are my recent cards:

Day 129 - I designed a coin from the made up land of Fletar. (Top right hand corner) Then prettied up the page with vintage needlecraft magazine paper, buttons, a clothing tag, and a paper leaf cut out.

Day 130 - I picked this song as my inspiration today. The pieces of paper represent all the things a feel when I look into Jordan's eyes. (Fresh cold water, green meadows, cuddled in a soft blanket, warm blue skies, and FIREWORKS!) You have my permission to go throw up now from lovie gushiness.

Day 131 - "Make a word out of objects in your environment or with letters found in natural formation outside."

Day 132 - "Create something on a T-shirt and wear it for the rest of the day." I didn't read the daily challenge until the end of the day, so I couldn't really do this challenge properly. Instead, I took one of Jordan's old T-Shirts and made a baby bib out of it.

Day 133 - "Make something surreal. (Look up the art of Magritte or Dali online or at the library for some inspiration)" (Good ol' Apple Photo Booth)

Day 134 - One of my favorite books from when I was little is Go Dog Go.

Day 135 - Charcoal rubbings and random journalling.

Day 136 - I made this awesome Tie-Dye shirt and thought it sort of fit this challenge..."Create a life-size person using your clothes and/or whatever else you have on hand". (Ya, kinda cheated on that one, I know.) But you have to admit - the shirt is pretty cool!

Day 137 - I LOVE the sky. I love how it's different every day.

Day 138 - Inspector Gadget was one of my favorite TV shows when I was little. So awesome.

Day 139 - I definitely did not want to create something with rotting food...so this was my interpretation of his challenge. I used an image of a rotting tree trunk and used other old items (stamp/postmarked envelope from the 60s, milk top thing from when milk still came in glass containers, on old button, and some other random fabric clippings)  You're welcome for not making an ATC out of a banana peel.

Day 140 - Rebus's are fun.

Day 141 - I used to LOVE making pop up cards when I was little. I used to make pretty deluxe ones. I also really got into making whole books with flaps, things you pull, etc. They were pretty cool.

Day 142 - This one is a little hard to appreciate with just photos. It makes more sense when you can actually flip through it. Oh well.

Day 143 - "Make something in which the sense of taste is the essential component". Jordan and I bought this ginormous Snickers in Las Vegas...I'm so tempted to eat it! Alas, it's a gift for a friend.

What are your hobbies? Do you consider yourself a dabbler in many things? Or more of an expert in one field?
Make time for your hobbies, whatever they may be!
